The difference between the product managers, the project manager, the product owner, and the scrum master


One of the events that occurred with the advancement of technology in the world is full of new job titles, which is unfamiliar for many people. For example, many people do not know what Product Manager – Project Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Master.

Whether these job titles are different or merely new titles for a job? If you also have these questions, you need to know that this question is a lot of people, and you are not alone. Even I want to go beyond a step and say that if someone has been working with people with high job titles, for example, the product manager, and is familiar with the product manager’s job description, it may enter a new company. And see that the product manager of the new company works completely different from the company’s product manager! And again, how does the product manager do?

How does the Scrum team make up

In the Scrum team, like the standard methods and methodologies, the role of a project manager is not defined as an independent role in this framework. Why do we not have this role in this framework? Because Scrum teams are self-organized and prospects. Instead of being managed by another person from outside the team, they choose the best way to do the job. The first important point is to know that the PO product owner, contrary to public impression, is a job title. Therefore, if the timing of the tasks is not correct, the development team is working on mistakes, which is contradictory by maximizing the value of the output of each phase.

Do the tasks make the product manager to PO or write himself?

If we have a product manager, they (product manager and product owner) develop both tasks. The product manager explained its desires, and PO tasked them in Beck back after ensuring the correct understanding of the demands. Unlike its dubious name, the product owner is not the project sponsor, business owner, or idea owner. Instead, he is a member of the product team. The product owner is the owner of the backlog, and the word owner refers to the ownership of the backlog, not the right of the product.

The product owner has two primary responsibilities

The most important task of the product owner is to write and manage the backlog. No one but the product owner can make changes to the backlog. Therefore, the product owner needs constant communication with everyone involved in the product to write a backlog.
